So I just listened to the latest album by The Offspring, Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace. You know, it’s a pretty good album, the songs Half-Truism and Hammerhead remind me vaguely of Nickelback, and there are times in Fix You where Dexter Holland sounds like the audio clone of Weird Al Yankovic (When the latter is actually singing and not being goofy), but all in all it’s pretty good Offspring.
“Kristy, are you doing okay?” is kind of a heart felt song, though the pessimist in me wants to say it’s a bit trite and pre-packaged, similar to Blink 182’s “Adam’s Song”.
While no songs on the album made me want to jump up and go “YEAH!!!” all in all though, like I said, it’s an okay example of unmistakable Offspring.
