There are many advantages to traveling in groups, as they will allow you to progress faster through the Horde Guide. However the main advantage, which we are talking about in this article today, is if you are a low level character traveling with on or a group of several higher level characters.
Being lower level, you might find that you are in trouble if you pass an enemy which is higher level than you. This is when your high level partner comes in handy, and they don’t mind being your guardian angel because the enemy is either their level or lower.
Beating a low level bad guy is easier the higher you get, so these players have no trouble saving your butt in one swipe. As you may already know, if you are officially in a group you each get experience from everything you kill, when your higher level companion kills an also high level enemy this gives you especially high experience points in comparison to the experience you receive from killing a lower level enemy yourself.
The best situation to use high level partners is when you either have a quest killing higher enemies or you need to travel through a territory in which higher level enemies are numerous. Not only are you protected and get to your destination quicker but you gain a significant amount of experience for hardly any work.
Some level 80 players offer these services in payment in gold, others who may just be a few or more levels above you could simply be going to same way or want a friend and you can travel together, with you gaining the real advantage.
So if you can find an upper level player to come with you on your dangerous journey it will most definitely be to your advantage, just make sure you join into a group with them or the experience they get from killing high level creatures will not divide and you will get nothing. Enjoy Warcrafters!
This video from wowdumpdotnet is pretty good. It first goes into Joana’s (pronouned Joan-Ah not Joe-anna) history as a Warcraft record breaker, and then talks about how his interactive Horde Guide can teach you how to become as good as he is.
The video host then goes on to talk about Joana’s record of 4 days 20 hours to get to level 60, and then compares his own record of 5 days to his first time to level 60 which took 30 days. He then goes on to say how Joana offers free updates as expansions are made and then walks you through how the guide is completely step by step and full of detail.
Joana also made a real time video of his own quest to level 70 in record time.
We have a guest today writing an article, my fiance Haley. Without further adieu, here’s her article that has nothing to do with the Horde or Horde Guide:
As a Warcraft player I find one of the most useful tools used by my characters is the ability to immobilize my opponents. My character Mavrada, a level 17 Night Elf Druid, has proven most valuable in combat either with creatures or duels with non-magic players. I have little use for a Horde Guide with her other than the general tidbits of info it gives out.
I have created a system of using my vines spell to tie up an enemy, back up a few feet just out of range of physical attacks, and then firing fire balls at them from a distance. I have found this technique incredibly obliging, no harm can come to the character as long as the enemy has no long range magic at their disposal. You can use this technique with characters described in the Horde Guide as well, as long as they have an immobilizing spell. Like a Tauren Druid.
You may of course need to utilize the vine spell again in combat so your enemy doesn’t break free and come get you. This is also a great opportunity to use your healing spell and not have the enemy interrupt the spell.
Yet another use for this technique is the ability to control gangs; in situations where a small group of enemies is attacking, you can take a short time to tie up one or two and step back, leaving you with one enemy to fight for a period of time. This again gives you the advantage of healing yourself if you’re surrounded and close to death.
I have had a great upper hand in dueling with humans in this case. I tie them up at the very beginning of the duel and fire at them, I haven’t lost yet. This however is more useful for fighting enemies on quests, as you can attack a large number of enemies in a short time without dying as long as you keep an eye on your health and use your healing spell as needed. Other characters have immobilizing spells (Tauren Druids, check out the Horde Guide) but I have found success using my Night Elf character is the past.
Thanks Haley for that great article. Keep up the WOWing and have fun!
